Officer Wells graduated from the Clark State Police Academy in December 2012. Soon after, he was commissioned with the Waynesville Police Department in March, 2013. Officer Wells received the 2013 Waynesville Police Department Top Gun Award. On February 3, 2014, he received a commendation for his conduct involving the handling of an accident involving a small child who had been struck by a vehicle. In addition, he received a TOP COP award from Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) on March 7, 2014. Prior to 2012, Officer Wells worked for 10 years as an athletic personal trainer. He has been happily married for 13 years and has two daughters, he enjoys cheering them on in their sporting events. In his free time, he enjoys shooting, working out, riding his bike, and paddle boarding. In January, Officer Wells was awarded the 2014 Waynesville Police Officer of the Year award.
